Overview

The first impressions made by Swahili Beach are nothing less than spectacular. Relish a harmonious blend of the architectural influences from the East African coast, Arabia, India, and Zanzibar that have fused over millennia to create the vibrant Swahili culture. Swahili Beach boasts 140 rooms and stylish suites with breathtaking views across the gardens, cascading pools or the Indian Ocean.

Swahili Beach Resort is a very large resort in a central position on Diani Beach, built and designed more than ten years ago to combine luxury and modern decor, whilst ensuring it has a minimum ecological impact. Its Arabic architecture and local Swahili-influenced finish have created 140 rooms and stylish suites with breathtaking views across the gardens, cascading pools and the Indian Ocean.

Location

Along the stretch of beach in Diani, Southern Kenya, Swahili Beach Resort sits in a central and attractive area. Diani offers a range of watersports, kite surfing, sky diving, dhow trips, sundowner safaris, beach bars and many more. The only downside is that the beach at the front of the property is one of the narrower sections which is often covered at high tide.

Rooms

Standard, superior and suites make up the 140 rooms which all sit in two-storey buildings around the grounds of the resort. The architecture, with its high ceilings and beautifully carved arches, has made the rooms light and airy, which gives guests an open and welcoming feel as soon as they walk in. Superior suites have terraces, with spacious lounge areas and cushioned benches.
