The Severin Sea Lodge is located at Bamburi Beach directly at the Indian Ocean and affectionately built in a traditional African style: The round bungalows, the main building and the two swimming pools are arranged nestling amidst a beautiful palm garden. The rooms and suites are equipped with hand-made wooden furniture and a stylish African design.
Opened in 1972 and conveniently located on Bamburi Beach overlooking the sparkling turquoise waters of Mombasa Marine Park Reserve, Severin Sea Lodge is one of the oldest establishments on the northern coast of Mombasa.
To date, it has maintained its iconic status as a favourite stop for many travellers heading out on a safari beach vacation - who want a little bit of ocean bliss and a little bit of bush bliss.
Being a family-owned business, the hotel's charms have been maintained from generation to generation… bringing out an extension of Kenya bush safari to the beach. From the design, (the round African huts, canvas tented restaurant, authentic wildlife animal antiques furnishing on walls, and pictures that portray history) it depicts our county’s safari heritage.
