This 11-day Kenya eco-safari is a combined Kenya cultural and wildlife safari package offering visitors a classic big–game viewing and close-up interaction with the Maasai. 

On this safari package, you will experience the rousing and authentic African safari in 4 of Kenya’s exhilarating wildlife national parks that is Masai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Reserve, Amboseli National Park and Hell's Gate National Park which are home to medley of wildlife including the Big Five “lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos and elephants”.

You will also encounter the Maasai tribesmen, learning their way of life and traditions that have made them famous the world over. You'll also engage in their bead-making and other tribal crafts.

Itinerary

Day 1: Urban Experience in Nairobi

Here our adventure together begins, on the first step of an exciting journey. Upon arrival, you will meet your expert and friendly guide, who will quickly take care of the necessary arrangements so that we can start the safari you have always dreamed of. Nairobi offers a vibrant introduction to contemporary Kenyan life, with its variety of restaurants, hotels, bars and nightclubs. In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore excellent traditions, enjoy beautiful natural attractions, and immerse yourself in local markets and shops for a deeper cultural immersion. The parks and nature reserves complement this experience, making your Kenya safari truly memorable. This combination of urban and natural activities ensures that your Kenyan experience is enriching and complete.

Day 2: Cultural Experience with the Maasai at Amboseli

Today you have a unique experience waiting for you. You will join Leshan, a member of the local Maasai community, in the heart of Amboseli. It will be a special day where you will learn about Maasai culture and traditions authentically. You will immerse yourself in daily activities such as cattle herding, which is central to their way of life. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in bead-making and other tribal crafts. Be prepared for an enriching cultural exchange and to take with you memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 3: Explore the huge elephants of Amboseli

Amboseli is known as the best destination in Kenya to see elephants, and there are many reasons why it is. Amboseli hosts huge elephants, both in tusks and size. The sighting is crowned by views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa highest peak towering at 5,895 meters.

Amboseli also offers excellent sightings of lion, cheetah, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, hyena, wildebeest and gazelle. It is also a bird lover's paradise, with 420 recorded species, so binoculars are essential. This diversity of wildlife and the breathtaking view of Kilimanjaro make Amboseli an unforgettable destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

Day 4: Free day

Hello, today is a free day where we will transfer you in the morning from Amboseli National Park to Naivasha. During the drive, you will have an excellent opportunity to learn a lot about the Kenyan way of life while touring various areas. You will then enjoy a free afternoon to rest and recuperate. Use this time to relax and take in all the experiences you have had and we hope you enjoy this special day full of new learnings.

Day 5: Bike ride in the wilderness of Hell's Gate

A morning bike ride in Hell's Gate National Park is an invigorating and unique experience. At dawn, the park wakes up to the sound of birdsong and the fresh savannah air caresses your skin as you cycle along trails surrounded by impressive rock formations and vast grasslands. It is common to see animals such as zebras and giraffes grazing peacefully near the trails. In the afternoon, a boat ride to Crescent Island on Lake Naivasha offers a tranquil contrast. The serene waters reflect the clear skies and mountains in the distance. The lake, dotted with hippos and lined with acacia trees, provides a perfect setting to relax after an active day, closing the day with a serene contemplation of nature.

Day 6: Hiking at Crater Lake Naivasha

Crater Lake in Naivasha is a breathtaking natural spectacle, known for its serene beauty and vibrant wildlife. Situated in a nature reserve, the lake is famous for its intense turquoise colour and the lush forests that surround it. A day hike here offers panoramic views of the lake and the opportunity to spot animals such as giraffes and a variety of birds. Trails wind through dense forests and grassy fields, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the tranquillity of the natural environment. It is a perfect retreat for nature lovers and those seeking peace.

Day 7: Exploring the black rhinos of Lake Nakuru

Exploring Lake Nakuru National Park offers a truly enchanting experience. Known as a favourite destination for spotting both black and white rhinos, the park is not limited to these impressive animals. Visitors also have the opportunity to spot lions, some of which are known for their tree-climbing ability, as well as leopards, flamingos and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. In addition, the park is home to diverse birdlife and is adorned with beautiful acacia woodlands. A breathtaking escarpment offers majestic views of the lake, adding a dramatic touch to the natural landscape that surrounds visitors to this magnificent wildlife sanctuary.

Day 8: Transfer to the Maasai Mara

The Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya is one of our favourite wildlife viewing destinations. This spectacular place is home to an impressive variety of big cats, such as lions, leopards and cheetahs, as well as herds of elephants. During your visit, it is highly likely that you will also encounter giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, hippo, hyena and, of course, impala. Also, don't forget to bring your binoculars, as the reserve is home to more than 500 species of birds, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. The environment is dominated by vast savannah landscapes, punctuated by acacia trees, offering a perfect setting for photographers and nature lovers alike.

Day 9: Discover a huge concentration of wildlife in Maasai Mara

Today we invite you to join us on a unique adventure: a game drive through the Sand River and Keekorok area of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We aim to spot the renowned Fig tree lion pride, as well as other species such as jackals, leopards, Topi, impala and wild dogs. You will also have the opportunity to spot elephants, buffalo, rhinoceros and a diverse range of birds. These include the martial eagle with its imposing presence and the vibrant bee-eater. Get ready for a day full of exciting discoveries in one of the world's most spectacular natural environments.

Day 10: More wildlife encounters in Maasai Mara

Today you will join us on an exciting safari adventure as we explore the Mara River and Talek River areas of the Maasai Mara. Prepare to be amazed by the diversity and beauty of the natural environment. In Maasai Mara, you will have the opportunity to see an impressive variety of mammals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and buffalo. Also, in the rivers, keep your eyes peeled for hippos diving into the water and crocodiles sunbathing on the banks. It will be an unforgettable experience full of discovery and natural wonders.

Day 11: End of the safari

Your cultural learning and wildlife viewing experience in Kenya has come to an end. We will arrange your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
