Day 1: Safari Starts with a visit to spot elephants at Tarangire
Your day will start with a safari to Tarangire. You will be picked up by our representative, either at the airport or a central location and be briefed on your safari itinerary.
This park is extremely famous for its elephant population and dramatic landscapes. Tarangire is dotted with ancient and massive baobab trees that tower over giraffes. Elephants seem to flourish here with their numbers on the rise making it a great destination to spot them. Another highlight of Tarangire is the tree-climbing pythons and the long-necked Gerenuk. You will be left in awe of the sheer size of elephants and baobab trees. Everything here seems to be huge and you'll love every minute of this place.
Day 2: Explore the Wildlife haven and World Heritage site of Ngorongoro.
Start the day with an early morning breakfast check out of the hotel and head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Ngorongoro is a World Heritage Site and home to a large number of wildlife as the landscape offers a natural boundary to their habitat. Your game drive will start immediately after you get here, which is around mid-morning.
You'll check in at your lodge and have lunch. Have a rest then in the afternoon you'll be transferred to Olduvai Gorge pre-historic site, where remains of the old man have been preserved dating millions of years. You shall learn how man evolved to the present.
Later in the afternoon, head for another game drive.
Day 3: World-renowned wildlife park, Serengeti is home to the Big Five and Wildebeest Migration
Today you will spend your time exploring the wildlife in Serengeti, with a huge concentration of predators and the Big Five. We will be arriving in Serengeti mid-morning. You shall have a chance for a mid-morning game drive as you head to the lodge for lunch. It is much easier to spot the leopard in Serengeti, which is among the best locations in Africa to sight one.
You'll have another chance to explore the Serengeti, an afternoon game drive after lunch. You can also opt to have lunch in the park.
You'll head back to the lodge after your game drive for some rest, dinner and accommodation.
Day 4: in search of the tree-climbing lions in Lake Manyara
Nestled at the foot of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara is a hidden gem. Home to more than 400 bird species, thousands of vibrant pink hues of flamingos and sightings of the unique tree-climbing lions. Your day starts with an early morning breakfast leaving your lodge with a packed picnic lunch as we embark on a drive to this small but amazing wildlife park.
Lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. During the game drive, watch out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and blue monkeys. The main spectacle of Lake Manyara National Park is the tree-climbing lions. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos flocking there.
Day 5-7: Zanzibar
Your days in Zanzibar will be filled with thrill and relaxation. You will visit Jozani Chwaka National Park for sightseeing and nature walks, also, you'll be able to spot the endangered Red-Colombus Monkeys.
Another place to visit is the Spice plantation, which includes cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and pepper, with so much to learn about from food culture, and medicinal use among others.
Other notable destinations to visit include the Old Fort of Zanzibar, the House of Wonders, The Old Dispensary and the Mnarani Aquarium Turtle Conservancy.
Day 8: End of Safari
After breakfast, you shall check out of the hotel, where you may opt to go shopping at a mall on your way as you are transferred to Zanzibar International Airport to catch your international flight.
