Day 1: Safari starts with a rest in Nairobi

Your safari starts here, and we're as excited about getting going as you are. We're looking forward to meeting you, introducing you to your guide, and taking you out on the first steps of your safari. It's worth taking the time to explore Nairobi, which is both your gateway to so many safari experiences and a fascinating destination in its own right. Day 2 & 3: Exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve

Big cats are sure to be a highlight of your time in the Masai Mara, with lions, leopards and cheetahs all commonly seen stalking prey on the Mara's savannah grasslands. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and hyenas are also often seen here, sometimes in front of a background of flat-topped acacia trees. Impalas are everywhere. Bird watchers will also love the chance to see more than 500 bird species.

Begin each day with a thrilling 4x4 game drive in the reserve. The pièce de résistance being top sightings include the river crossings when the wildebeest have to navigate their way past giant crocodiles lying in wait in the water. Such is the abundance of wildlife here that visitors can expect great game viewing at any time of year.
