Unique Uganda Safari

Day 1: Arrival and Hotel transfer

Welcome to the Pearl of Africa. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by one of our company representatives. A meet and greet before transfer to your hotel in the capital, Kampala. You shall be briefed on your safari itinerary as well as the expectations of the safari. 

If time allows, we can have a short tour of the city, exploring the sights and sounds that make Kampala unique. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for your Unique Uganda Safari.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls

Enjoy breakfast at the Lodge and make an early start on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover in Masindi town for lunch. Proceed to Murchison Falls and visit the top of the falls – one of the star attractions in the area before proceeding to your lodge where you will unwind for the rest of the evening have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Wildlife Encounter at Murchison Falls

Wake up for an early morning breakfast on your 3rd morning of the 8-day Unique Uganda Safari and go for a game drive where you may spot various animal species like Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, and Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction, the unique Murchison Falls and the River Nile with its streaming Hippo and serried ranges of Crocodiles along the sandbanks as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Kibale National Park

Have breakfast and then drive to Kibale Forest National Park – home to the Chimpanzees. This is a full-day game drive with a lunch stop over en route and arriving at the lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5 Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale

After breakfast, you will go chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale’s 795 km National Park contains one of the most beautiful and varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is home to several forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees. After trekking, you will have lunch and then visit Bigodi wetland. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Heading to Bwindi for Gorillas

Enjoy morning breakfast in Kibale and transfer to Bwindi National Park driving through the famous Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you may spot some game including tree-climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi with a lunch stop arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi

You will have an early morning breakfast and report at the park headquarters for a briefing with the park ranger guides. After which you head into the forest for gorilla trekking in Bwindi. This could take 4-8 hours depending on the movements of the Mountain Gorillas. Upon discovering the gentle Mountain Gorillas, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these primates which often seem not to mind the visitors’ attention as they go about their daily lives. Return to the starting point where you will meet your driver and he will transfer you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: End of your Unique Uganda Safari

Have breakfast and head for Kampala driving across some incredible landscapes, local markets and towns. Enjoy lunch en-route in Mbarara town and proceed to Kampala arriving in the late afternoon. Drop off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
