Itinerary

Day 1: After the endangered red Colubus Monkey at Jozani and Spice Plantation Visit.

JOZANI CHWAKA NATIONAL PARK

You shall be picked up at your residence/hotel by one of our representatives and be briefed on your tour itinerary. Afterwards, it's a drive to Jozani National Park for a nature walk and sightseeing.

Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is a protected area of indigenous forest which is home to the rare Zanzibar red colobus monkey. Embark on a 2-hour nature walk looking after the rare primitives of endangered red colobus monkeys.

Jozani is also a bird paradise with species likely to be spotted including Egyptian goose, White-backed duck, African pygmy-goose, Red-billed duck, Crested guinea fowl, Blue quail, Rock pigeon among others not forgetting insects such as butterflies and palms trees.

SPICE PLANTATION VISIT.

Around mid-morning we shall take a drive to the Spice Plantation. Explore the wonderful world of spices as you get to see the connection between the Swahili Coast, the Arabs and Indian merchants. There's a lot of history that you'll learn about the plantation as well as understand why this plantation is still important to Zanzibar and the region. Some of the spices include cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and pepper. There are also medical uses of these spices which you'll learn on your visit,

Right around lunchtime, we shall head to the hotel for some lunch and refreshments.

In the afternoon, you'll have time to stroll the magical beaches of Zanzibar, opt for water activities such as Scuba diving, snorkelling, sunbathing, spotting dolphins and later feast on Zanzibar seafood later in the evening.

Day 2: Historical visit around Zanzibar

OLD FORT OF ZANZIBAR.

After a gracious breakfast, we take a trip to the Old Fort of Zanzibar. Take around 2 hours to learn about the rich history of this monument dating back to the year 1699. The Fort was built by the Arabs after expelling the Portuguese who had set the exploration base across the East African Coast. The fort was previously used as a prison and a military barracks.

HOUSE OF WONDERS.

At mid-morning we shall head to the House of Wonders, believed to have the widest doors in East Africa. The house was constructed by the Arabs, similar to the Old Fort of Zanzibar, after they seized the island from the Portuguese. It served as a residential home for the Sultan family.

Afterwards, we head to the hotel for lunch and some refreshments.

In the afternoon, you'll have time to stroll the magical beaches of Zanzibar, opt for water activities such as Scuba diving, snorkelling, sunbathing, spotting dolphins and later feast on Zanzibar seafood later in the evening.

Day 3: Swim with the Turtles and a visit to the Old Dispensary

THE OLD DISPENSARY.

Our final day is pumped well with a range of exciting activities. After breakfast, we head to the Old Dispensary, which was constructed as a celebration of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee and how it was used as a charitable hospital for the poor as the queen intended.

MNARANI AQUARIUM TURTLE CONSERVANCY.

After touring the Old Dispensary, we head to Mnaranani Aquarium Turtles Conservation. Get an opportunity to swim with the turtles, feed them and learn about their life and efforts made to protect them. Quite an exciting experience to crown the Tour of Zanzibar.

We end this tour as we take you for lunch at the hotel and bid you goodbye.
