Overview

Jabali Ridge is a stylish luxury camp in the wildlife-rich Ruaha National Park, set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Mwagusi River and Ikuka escarpment, a landscape dotted with spiky palms and bulbous baobabs. The remarkable beauty of Ruaha is not only in the landscape and its diversity of flora and fauna, or the impressive big game but in the feeling of having the wilderness all to yourself. With only a handful of visitors at any one time in an area the size of New Jersey, this is an exceptional safari experience.

Accommodation at Jabali Ridge

Jabali Ridge Camp consists of 8 raised suites that are spacious and airy, topped with thatched roofs and surrounded by wooden shutters that open it up to the views. All beds are king-sized for maximum comfort and all are fitted with en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets and rain showers.

Grab a drink and spend the evening relaxed on a cushioned bench along the deck and take in stunning views.

Also available to you are private outdoor sun loungers for soaking up some rays, a luxury spa with an array of treatments, and an infinity pool

There is a small spa where you can unwind after a day out on safari and an infinity swimming pool with views over this beautiful park. Dining is a highlight, with three-course gourmet dinners served under the African sky each evening, fresh, light lunches and the choice of a bush picnic breakfast or brunch back at the lodge.

Dining Experience

At Jabali Ridge, all meals and beverages are included in the rate, with the exception of cellar wines, premium spirits, and champagne. Guests can savor breakfasts and light lunches in the dining area, while evenings offer a sumptuous gourmet three-course dinner under the stars. Meals are typically served at the main camp, but private tables and bush picnics can be arranged upon request, providing an opportunity to relish a traditional meal in the wilderness or a packed lunch for an extended game drive in Ruaha.

Days start with an early wake-up call accompanied by tea, coffee, and biscuits. Guests have the option to enjoy breakfast before the morning drive or upon returning to camp midmorning. Lunch and afternoon tea are also provided, culminating in sunset drinks during the game drive, followed by an evening of drinks and dinner at the camp, either indoors or beneath the starlit sky.

The Wildlife Park

Ruaha is a wild and unspoilt park in southern Tanzania, with a wide range of wildlife to seek out on your safari. There are good numbers of big cats here, with regular sightings of lion pride, leopard and cheetah, as well as large herds of elephant and buffalo, and more unusual species such as roan antelope and sable. The guides at Jabali Ridge are some of Tanzania's finest, ensuring you maximise your experience here and see as much wildlife as possible. Safari activities include game drives and night drives in open-sided vehicles and guided walking safaris which offer an entirely different perspective.
