Itinerary

Day 1: Adventure Trek to Lake Ellis

Depart from Nairobi in the morning, passing through picturesque agricultural landscapes to Mount Kenya Bandas for lunch. Afterwards, embark on a scenic hike to Lake Ellis, enjoying breathtaking views of unique formations like Mugi Hill and the Giant’s Billiards Table. Follow the river upstream for about 3 km, taking in the beautiful flora and scenery. After a 3-hour trek, reach the tranquil campsite on the shores of Lake Ellis at 3,400m. Enjoy dinner and spend the night surrounded by nature's beauty.

Day 2: Ridge Trekking to Mintos Hut: A Day of Scenic Views and Summit Preparation

After breakfast, trek along a mountain ridge for 3 hours, joining the Chogoria tourist track at 4,100m. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Gorges Valley, Ithanguni, and the Northern Moorlands. Pause for lunch by a small stream before continuing to Mintos Hut at 4,200m for the night. Spend the afternoon relaxing at camp, but don’t miss the short 10-minute walk to the “Temple,” where you can gaze over a stunning 150-meter cliff. Rest well tonight; tomorrow's summit awaits!

Day 3:Conquering Point Lenana and Scenic Descent to Liki North Camp

Embark on a predawn summit attempt at 3:00 AM, hiking for about three hours to reach Point Lenana (4,985m), the hiker's summit. Arrive just in time to witness the breathtaking African sunrise. After descending to Shipton Camp for breakfast, begin a gentle 3-hour descent via Mackinder’s Valley to Liki North Camp (3,900m). Enjoy the stunning moorland scenery along the way. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at Liki North Camp, surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.

Day 3: Descent to Old Moses Camp

After an early morning breakfast, enjoy a scenic 2-3 hour descent to Old Moses Camp. Here, you'll catch a vehicle for your transfer back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. Reflect on your incredible mountain adventure as you head back, cherishing the memories of breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences.
